We made it through our first month of 2021 here in Northern California. We’ve seen some winter
weather finally. We here at MediCab are grateful that things are starting to move forward and we are
seeing 2020 in our rearview mirror. We are fortunate enough to say that the pandemic has not had a
crippling effect on us. Our protocols and procedures have kept our staff safe and healthy. Currently,
half our staff has obtained the Covid vaccine. As a business, we believe in keeping our clients and co-
workers safe, but we also believe in the right of individual choice. We are not mandating the vaccine for
our staff. We are however, keeping all safety procedures that we have successfully followed for the last
11 months in place company wide.
I would encourage everyone to step back from Social Media. Do some research and decide for yourself
what is right for you. Personally, I see valid points on all sides of the vaccine topic. I have found several
very informative websites that have helped me make the right decision for me. A good place to start is
with the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/index.html. This website has a wide variety of
information about the vaccine. People should be making decisions on facts rather than on social media
claims and myths. Making an educated decision one way or the other is important to each of us,
whether or not we choose to vaccinate.
As we come into spring, more and more people will need some outdoor time. In addition to dialysis,
therapy and medical appointments, MediCab can also transport your loved ones on non-medical trips.
Whether it’s to see family at their home, a day at Thunder Valley, a local restaurant or some other
location that would help reset your mind, we are available for almost any type of trip in our coverage
area. Speaking of coverage area, we transport in the South Placer County and North Sacramento County
areas of Northern California such as Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis, Lincoln, Carmichael, Citrus Heights and
Antelope. We hope everyone continues to stay safe during this time and look forward to the coming
months where we can all have a little more freedom and enjoy our California spring weather!
