It’s been a busy 2020 for MediCab. We have grown and have added new team members to our crew. Each team member has been fully trained on the importance of what we do. Although each client is different and requires different levels of assistance, our drivers are taught to communicate the needs of the client. We have been fortunate enough to hire staff that have been employed as school bus drivers, corrections officers, respite workers. People who have worked with the public in various ways. We are very happy with our current staff and hope they all love the job as much as we love having them here.
As weather begins to improve and we move toward the end of the school year, we have received several inquiries as to whether we do personal trips such as: Graduations, family BBQ’s, Birthday parties, etc. MediCab is always happy to provide a fair price for a trip out for your loved ones. Although insurance does not cover these types of trips, we provide a very reasonable round trip rate so that loved ones can enjoy the festivities with their families. We operate on Saturdays for anyone looking to have a weekend day out on the town. We are closed on Sundays so that our staff can enjoy one day completely away from the phones and tablets.
Speaking of Insurance, we are proud to announce that the State of California Medi-Cal program has reinstated both Optometry and Podiatry as covered services. These two vital services were removed several years ago, which left our clients without coverage for transportation to those appointments. With the reinstatement, transportation to those services are now covered under the Medi-Cal program. Hopefully this is just a start to getting the services needed for all of our clients.
